Jasper stone is recognized for its powerful powers. Jasper shines with pure light like the diamond. It has the power to defeat darkness.
The Greeks considered jasper to be related to the mother goddess, Gaia. It was also offered to Callisto, the moon goddess.
In the Middle Ages, many Christians baptized the red jasper the “stone of the martyrs” and used it to dramatize the crucifixion.
Saint John describes Christ on his throne under the aspect of a stone of jasper.
